KS3 Menu 1: Healthy Eating

Independent work -

Make a food diary for three days including all meals and drinks:

Then analyse it using the Eatwell Guide and the following questions:

1. As a whole is your food diary made up of mostly starchy foods and fruit and vegetables?

2. Are you getting enough non-dairy sources of protein?

3. Are you drinking enough water?

4. Are you keeping high fat and sugar items as an occasional treat?

5. Which was the best day and which was the worst day, why?

Family work -

Using the eatwell guide design and cook a healthy meal for dinner.

Please send photos of your meal to Miss Jackson (ljackson@taptonschool.co.uk) so she can create a gallery on this page!

Technology work -

Design a family meal on The Jenny Ridgewell online program. If you name your recipe with your own name you will know which one is yours.
